2022 Bowls South Africa Junior Nationals

Our WP Juniors hit the N1 on Monday 28th March to travel to Bloemfontein for the BSA Junior Nationals.
WP was represented by two u15 teams and one u20 team.
The tournament started on Tuesday morning with our two u15 teams playing against each other in the first round at Oudstudente BC and the u20 team against Boland at Orangia BC.
Our u20’s won their section to qualify to play in the quarter-finals.
It was a wonderful achievement for our team to win one of the four u20 sections.
They, unfortunately, lost in the QF, but they played the game with wonderful sportsmanship and encouragement for each other.
Our u20 skip – Keagan Oliphant – was recognised and awarded for his tremendous presence in motivating his team as well as his bowling skills. He received the award for the u20 player of the tournament at the prize-giving.
The two u15 teams also had a fantastic week with our A side finishing with bronze and our very new B side finished 6th (they were lying 4th before the last game).
WPB is very proud of every single player as well as very grateful to the team managers.
