Directors Day – March 2020

The Directors Day Trips Tournament was held at Jaggers BC on 1 March 2020.

Twelve blind bowlers and twelve directors played with twelve pairs combos in an all day competition. This was a rare event for the bind bowlers who are generally restricted to only one or two tournaments per year.

Bowls can be enjoyed by anyone – abled or disabled – playing inclusive tournaments like yesterday creates more opportunities for all #1Sport4Life.

The generosity and support from the sighted bowlers was overwhelming. Peninsula Blind Bowlers raised R 2150 from entries, raffles and food.

Congratulations to the winners of the tournament – Wendy Adams (skip), Joey Calvert, Victor Trew (director) and Chris Delcarme (Peninsula blind bowler).
