WP Junior Singles

This new competition will be combined with the WP Open, Novice and Veteran singles this year!

It is open to any player under the age of 18 on the 30th June 2021. To enter there will be 2 streams of entries. If a Junior is in the school bowls system then they need to enter by completing the form and handing it to their bowls teacher at school. Teachers will submit it to their associated Club and it will then go to the WP Bowls Office.

Any Junior who already bowls at a Club can fill in the entry form and submit it to the WP Bowls Office through their Club Competition Secretary.

All forms must be accompanied by the R30 entrance fee.

It is essential that the Junior’s parents / legal guardians complete the Consent Form and e-
mail it back to the address on the form.

Once the venues are known we will negotiate with those clubs to have the daily green fee waived for the juniors. Please see links to the entry form and consent form below .

Junior Age Criteria

Please note the age group for all WP Junior Competitions is U18. Once our Juniors have
turned 18 they then become adults and will fall into the U30 age group and either Novices and / or Open depending on results achieved in previous competitions.

We as a district feel strongly that over 18-year-olds are afforded more adult luxuries and we do not wish to mix that with younger and impressionable youths. WP Bowls will also only be sending U18-year-olds to any u20 BSA tournaments for this stated reason as well. We hope to circulate and announce more U30 tournaments shortly.
