Bowls for the Disabled National Championships – 2024
The Bowls for the Disabled Open Championship was hosted in Cape Town this year and was played at two of our Basin Clubs last week, namely Helderberg and Somerset West. It was a tournament that showcased the skills and determination of players with various physical challenges with categories ranging from B1’s (totally blind) to B8’s (physically disabled).
The combined effort of these two clubs in making this tournament comfortable and enjoyable for all players and spectators was incredible. From the overtime on the greens to the delicious food to the bar teams to the markers and umpires. Thank you all for your time, care, and compassion.
